Victoria is looking to hire the position outlined below for our Eagle Gold Mine located in Yukon:

Maintenance Scheduler

Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager and reporting to the Senior Reliability Engineer, the Maintenance Scheduler is responsible for developing the weekly schedules for the fixed and mobile maintenance departments by working together with the planning and execution teams. Working with the Parts Coordinator, this position will ensure that all parts are staged and accounted for in preparation for the weekly schedule. This position will work on a rotational basis with a 12-hour shift. Responsibilities are noted below which will include, but are not limited to:
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Safety of self and others;
• Review planned work orders to ensure they are ready to be scheduled;
• Schedule planned work orders for the Mobile and Fixed Maintenance by attaining feedback from the execution and operations teams and determining criticality;
• Run the weekly scheduling meeting;
• Communicating with multiple departments to arrange equipment accessibility;
• Working with the Parts Coordinator, ensure all parts are staged for the upcoming schedule; and,
• Behave in a way that demonstrates support of Victoria Gold’s Vision and Values.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Proof of being fully vaccinated for COVID-19;
• Five (5) to six (6) years practicing as a Journeyperson Millwright, Welder, or Mechanic or Mechanical or Electrical Technician;
• Three (3) years of experience in a mining environment;
• Four (4) years of experience planning/scheduling;
• Knowledge of crushing equipment, cone crushers, gyratory crushers, conveying equipment;
• Knowledge of mobile equipment (CAT 785D Haul Truck, CAT 993 Loader, CAT 6040 Shovel etc.)
• Knowledge of mining processes and familiarity with heavy maintenance processes
• Intermediate computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel and Project);
• Experience working with CMMS (Pronto);
• Familiar with project management principles;
• Must pass pre-employment medical, substance abuse test, criminal records check, hold a valid driver’s license, and provide a driver’s abstract; and,
• Have a proven commitment to safety, health and environmental standards.
