First Nation of Na-Cho Nyak Dun in collaboration with CPAWS Yukon, Dinjii Zhuh Adventures is hosting a Canoe Trip for First Nation of Na-Cho Nyak Dun Citizens of all ages.
Trip Details: Aug 15-18, 2021
We’ll fly onto Clarke Lakes, Paddle our way down to the Beaver and Stewart Rivers, and end our journey at home, in Mayo.
On this trip, you will get the opportunity to learn how to canoe & gain many skills; ex. map reading and navigation, camping and backcountry safety. There will involve full days of learning, paddling, some portaging and carrying gear; working as a team and cold mornings but also, beautiful days of learning and having fun!
**We will have a COVID plan to make sure everyone stays safe.
Who should apply?
NNDFN citizens can apply. We encourage NND Youth to apply!
What would I need to bring?
Personal gear like outdoor clothing, rain gear, toiletries, etc. See NND Website for the full list. We will help you find the gear you don’t have. NND will be providing the food, canoes, paddling equipment and camping gear.
