VICTORIA GOLD IS LOOKING FOR SUMMER STUDENTS!
Victoria Gold Corp. (“Victoria”) is a mining company with an Executive team that is experienced in developing and operating mines in an environmentally and socially responsible manner. Victoria’s Eagle Gold Mine poured its first gold in September 2019 and declared commercial production at the end of Q2 2020. Future and current mines, like Eagle Gold, will be a strong contributor to the Yukon and its citizens for many years to come.
Victoria is accepting applications for post-secondary summer student labourer positions, as outlined below, to work at our Eagle Gold Mine located near Mayo, YT. Preference will be given to First Nation of Na-Cho Nyak Dun Citizens and Yukon residents.
Labourers provide general manual support to various departments. The positions will be based at the Eagle Gold Mine, working a rotational schedule of three (3) weeks on-site and three (3) weeks of leave, 12 hours per day on either day or night shift. Accommodations at our dry camp, meals, and transportation to/from Mayo and Whitehorse will be provided.
Responsibilities and requirements include, but are not limited to:
• Capable of physically demanding work
• Ability to lift fifty pounds (50 lbs)
• Willingness to learn
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Self-directed and self-motivated, demonstrating initiative to do more than is expected or required in the position
• Valid driver’s license preferred
• Expecting to graduate from High School and enrolled in the Fall Semester of a Post-Secondary Institution
