Job Opportunity: Elders Council Assistant

THE OPPORTUNITY

This casual position will appeal to someone who has some administrative experience in a First
Nation organization who enjoys working with Elders in compassion and support while organizing, and
assisting in leisure programming and/ or meeting preparation.

THE PERSON

We are looking for someone who is genuinely a positive, patient, caring and compassionate person
who adores working with our Elders and listening to the stories of our ancestors and culture in a
respectful way. You will act as a positive role model in community demonstrating the practice of a
healthy lifestyle.

QUALIFICATIONS

You will have good communication and coordination skills in fulfilling administrative duties. You
will be responsible for ensuring the Elders Rules of Procedures and Northern Tutchone Code of
Ethics are in place as you implement program initiatives.

You must be familiar with the use of standard office equipment and demonstrated computer skills
using Microsoft Office and Outlook.

Special Working Conditions
A relevant Criminal Records Check, Class 5 Drivers License, First Aid/ CPR and Food Safe are a
requirement.

This is a casual on-call position: up to 75 hours bi-weekly. Salary range is $24. 91 per hour and
flexible hours will incur to meet program needs. An underfill situation may be considered.
