Position Title:                    DIRECTOR, EDUCATION
Salary Range:                  Level 8 – $66,253 to $80,369 per annum ($36.28 to $44.01/hr)
Supervisor:  Executive Director
Status:  Full Time Term to June 30, 2023

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Manager Education is responsible for the development and delivery of NND Education Programs offered in the Community and to FNNND Citizens in general. This position supervises Education program staff providing education and post-secondary support, Daycare services, CELC services at the J.V. Clark School, and HRDC & Community Training programs. The Manager Education is responsible for proposal development which encourages additional educational and training opportunity for Na Cho Nyäk Dun citizens.


Education & Experience:

  • Degree, Diploma or Coursework in Education or related field combined with experience managing and/or delivering programs to a broad range of clients of all ages
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered

Specific Skills:

  • Knowledge of early childhood, K-12, adult and special education principles and programming
  • Knowledge of NND First Nation social structure, traditions and cultural values and education affecting First Nation’s people.
  • Knowledge of and ability to lead, direct and manage programs and policy development and delivery
  • Computer skills (MS Office)
  • Good general management and supervisory skills
  • Strong decision-making, problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in establishing and maintaining professional working relationships with staff, citizens and the general public
