BEAVER RIVER WATERSHED BOAT TRIP – JUNE 15 TO 18, JUNE 19 TO 23, PADDLE BACK TO MAYO.

The First Nation of Nacho Nyak Dun Beaver River Watershed Land Use Planning (BRW LUP) committee is planning on doing a canoe/boating trip around the Beaver River and then down the Stewart River back to Mayo. The start of the trip begins on the 15th of June. The 17 and 18 of June will be 2 days that other interested people can join up with the group. People can also just come out for a one-day trip on the 18 to see and hear from the mining company – ATAC who have proposed a 65 kilometre all season road within the Beaver River area. We are encouraging elders/youth and community members who are interested to sign up. Please note, there will be a cap on the number of participants, so please sign up early as I will need to confirm the group size by 22 of May. For more information, please contact me, Steve Buyck at 867 996 2265 ext 150 or 336 1492.
