Over the next few years, we will be working on the Legion Hall downtown. We have received funding from multiple sources for this project and look forward to seeing the building come to life again and bringing our people back to the river front.

Job Summary:
The preferred candidates will have an understanding of local environment conditions and effects associated with past and current activities facing the ecosystem in FNNND’s Traditional Territory. The applicant must have basic office and organizational skills and also a good understanding of First Nation Governments. The individual should be willing and able to undertake field work. This work is a great opportunity to learn about mining reclamation processes.
Main Duties
Field work will include; water sampling and monitoring, fish habitat assessments, soil investigations and water treatment pilot studies. Applicants must be self-motivated and physically capable of lifting at least 50 pounds. Duties could include training, field work and report writing to the Lands and Resources Department upon completion of assignments.

JOB SUMMARY
The person(s) is responsible for compliance with WCB safety regulations/YG permits (ie. participation in daily tailgate safety meetings/ Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment). Crew members’ assigned chainsaw operating duties must have appropriate experience and certification for falling and bucking. Crew members assigned swamping duties must have experience working around chainsaws and follow appropriate communication and safety protocols as defined by the JHA and under direction of Supervisor.

REQUIRMENTS
On Call Supervisor
• Supervisory/project planning and chainsaw falling/bucking experience
• First Aid Certification (Minimum level 1/ standard first aid)
• Valid Driver’s License (Class 5)
• Physical Fitness
On Call Operators
• Chainsaw faller/bucker safety certification
• First Aid certification preferred

On Call Swampers
