The Economic Development Officer reports to the Manager, Implementation and Governance for the First Nation of Nacho Nyak Dun (FNNND). The incumbent is responsible for facilitating community and economic development planning and initiatives; identifying and fostering community economic development opportunities; securing funding for economic development activities and programs; assisting local organizations, businesses and individuals with establishing economic development plans and projects; and promoting the community in order to expand economic development activities.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Manager, Implementation and Governance is responsible for managing negotiations with various governments, First Nations, agencies and industries including the ongoing negotiation tables of the PSTA (Program and Service Transfer Agreement)/ GEB (Gross Expenditure Base), IWG (Implementation Working Group), TBA (Transboundary Agreement), and AJA (Administration of Justice Agreement) and coordinating the activities of the contractors on these files, as well as, being actively engaged in the preparations, reporting, and budgeting for these files.

The Records and Information Management (RIM) Coordinator is responsible for developing and maintaining the FNNND records management program. The RIM Coordinator develops, implements and maintains the records management program that incorporates industry standards and best practices, focused on records creation, maintenance, retrieval, storage and disposition. The position is also responsible for developing and maintaining business rules for all areas of records management, developing and delivering records management training programs.

We have a new process for hiring Substitute teachers in rural communities.
